 At Joy in the Light, LLC, this is the mantra by which I now proudly provide therapeutic massage and Reiki services.

I am Stephanie James, founder of Joy in the Light, LLC.  For 30 years, this same mantra guided my practice as a Physical Therapist and Licensed Athletic Trainer before “retiring” in 2023 for personal reasons. It wasn’t long before I was missing my patients and felt a calling to serve in new ways. My purpose wasn’t done! I first dedicated myself to the study and practice of Reiki earning my Reiki Master in Usui/Holy Fire III Reiki Ryoho. I then committed to following a dream I had pushed aside and began my journey to become a massage therapist. I graduated with honors from Academy of Health, Inc in 2026.  

My 30+ years of patient care has given me the invaluable experience of knowing how to connect with each client thru touch and heart, treating all with dignity, respect, care, and compassion. Thru active listening and collaboration, I will provide a customized session to meet your concerns, intentions, and goals.  Whether you are looking to reduce pain or stress, relieve tension, restore balance, or just unwind and “let go”, I will combine my technical skills and intuitive care and touch to provide the perfect experience just for you.
